What Is the PSEG Home Comfort PLUS Program?

The Home Comfort PLUS Program is PSEG Long Island’s primary rebate initiative designed to reduce energy usage and encourage cleaner, more efficient electric heating and cooling. The program focuses mainly on air-source heat pumps, including ducted systems and ductless mini-splits, which provide both heating and cooling using electricity instead of fossil fuels.

How Much Can You Save With PSEG Rebates?

Typical rebates include:



  • Up to $5,000 for qualifying high-efficiency air-source heat pump systems
  • Rebates generally calculated per system capacity, often around $1,000 per ton (12,000 BTUs)
  • Up to $11,000 available for income-qualified households under the enhanced Home Comfort PLUS tier

Eligible equipment commonly includes:


  • ENERGY STAR® certified ducted heat pumps
  • ENERGY STAR® certified ductless mini-split systems
  • Certain heat pump water heaters (through separate PSEG or NYSERDA incentives)

  • Single-family and multifamily residences
  • Properties in both Nassau County and Suffolk County

Some programs also extend to small commercial properties, depending on equipment type.
